Academy

Surobaibhab Music academy is one the leading music academies of West Bengal, India. It provides vocal music classes online and offline. Surobaibhab believes in holistic development of the members of Surobaibhab music family. The Music academy was established in the year of 2010 in Burdwan. Later it opened branch in Kamalgazi Narendrapur ( Kolkata ). Apart from these two branches music classes are also conducted in Berhampore (Surodhuni ). Now regular offline classes are operational in Kolkata, Burdwan and Berhampore.

Admission

One can get admission in Surobaibhab ( Kolkata & Burdwan ) and in Surodhuni ( Berhampore ) after basic audition / personality test. Admission fee is nominal. Any candidate above 5 years of age are most welcome to join the Surobaibhab family. For further details may contact us.

Lessons and syllabus

  • Mandatory Voice training / Voice culture / Pitching / Knowledge about Scales and chords/ Voice dynamics / Punctuation/ Rhythm / Breathing excersise
  • Exposure to Indian Ragas and Raginis ( Vocal Classical)
  • Kabyageeti & Sugam Sangeet and semi classical ( Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul geeti, Atulprasadi, Dwijendrageeti, Rajanikantageeti, Adhunik, Puratani, Devotional, Bhajan ,Geet etc

Thursday - Main Batch class, Evening 5.30 p.m onwards

Surodhuni Berhampore

Monthly one class on Sunday, Morning 11.10 to evening 5.00 p.m

Events

Surobaibhab has conducted and curated many cultural events and it will continue to do the same to encourage the students. Suro-Sandhya is the main cultural event organised by Surobaibhab. Apart from this Surobhaibhab has participated in World Music Day Celebration in assosiation with Senco Gold and Diamonds ( Kamalgazi ). Even Surobaibhab & Surodhuni performed as a group in Monsoon Melodies at G.D.Birla Sabhaghar and the event was covered by The Telegraph and other notable media houses. Surodhuni ( Berhampore ) regularly takes part in all the major cultural events in Berhampore and in Kolkata. Students of Surobaibhab ( all branches ) have participated and have got prizes in many noteworthy events and music competitions.
Surobaibhab has conducted workshop on voice training in Melbourne, Australia in 2019.
Other Events Surobaibhab annually conducts Suro – Safar ( picnic/Day outing) and Suro – Bhraman ( Group tour) to promote bonding among the member  of
Surobaibhab – Surodhuni family.
