Being born in a family with musical heritage Bibhabendu Bhattacharya aims at reviving sweet melody of Bengal through his sublime rendition. He has got vocal training in Indian classical music, rabindra sangeet and bengali modern songs for more than 15 years. During his early days he particapated in various music competitions and reality shows on tv, like Sa Theke Sa(etv bangla), Eto noi sudhu gaan(tara tv), Tomay poreche mone (kolkata doordarshan), Madhur Kantho(ABP) and became megafinalist and champion in most of the occasions . He has done his masters in English literature from Burdwan University and masters in Vocal Music from Rabindra Bharati University (Specialization – Bengali Songs). He has got training in Piano playing ( western classical) in London College of Music. At present he is a rugular performer in all television channels, media. His performance in tv and on stage are highly appreciated all over India and abroad. He can present songs of different genres at ease. In his audio album “Mon, moner manush, praner gaan” he has presented panchakabir gaan, lalongeeti, bhatiyali, kirtan, ramayani palagaan as well as favourite numbers of Sree Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. Bibhabendu is popular among his audience for his soulful presentation of bengali modern songs and retro numbers. He has playbacked on Prosenjit Chatterjee starring “Mahanayak”. In the year 2017 his basic bengali songs ” Elena tumi” & ” Mon kemoner rong ” were selected as “best modern songs of 2017” by Reliance Jio Music. In the year 2018 his compositions and renditions like “Netaji ” and “Oi to aschhe khushi are released by Hindusthan Music and are appreciated by listeners. From Svf Music ( Devotional ) more than 40 devotional and traditional songs rendered and arranged by him have been released. He has playbacked in megaserials like Karunamoyee Rani Rasmoni, Panchami etc and his rendition of Rabindrasangeet was used in film like Achena Uttam.
Bibhabendu has worked under Kabir Suman, Joy Sarkar, Upali Chattopadhyay Indradip Dasgupta and many others.
